Gavika is an acronym for Ganith (ಗಣಿತ -Mathematics), Vignan (ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ- Science) and Kala (ಕಲೆ-Art). At Gavika, we believe we are at the intersection of mathematics, science, and art. While Science and Mathematics have immutable rules, Art opens up the mind.

We firmly believe Ethics is beneficial to everyone concerned. For us, ethics is to make sure we are law-abiding, honest in our dealing with everyone, and maintain the highest standards of integrity. Employees are clearly made aware that they should not do anything that is against their personal values.
Merriam Webster dictionary describes diligence as “steady, earnest, and energetic effort”. All of the three attributes mentioned above are extremely important. It is important for our team to be relentless in our pursuit of quality with an earnest focus on getting the job done.
Creativity serves as an aspirational guiding principle. We aspire to bring creativity into even mundane tasks. It is important to find creative solutions and practices to free up the mind to think. And this in turn leads to a virtuous cycle of more creative problem-solving. We have “think sessions” with the team where everyone is encouraged to present their point of view on a task/problem and how to creatively get the work done or solve a nagging issue.
The customer-centric approach will not happen by mere words. It should be supported by diligent action, the highest standards of ethics, and creative solutions.
Gavika team members participate in several open-source projects. We often contribute code, documentation, and assistance to community members. Gavika also develops in-house open-source software projects related to DevOps engineering.
At Gavika, we not only accept diversity but also celebrate it. We strive to hire people with different worldviews and different backgrounds. We have a strict policy against discrimination based on gender, caste, color, religion, food habits, sexual orientation, etc. To us, diversity is not just about stopping certain practices and encouraging certain behaviors. We encourage diversity in thought as well. We feel we all get more mature and prudent having made the effort to understand the other point of view.
